Buelahman It's kind of like the financial system where the top 1% hold 65% of wealth... top 5% own almost 95%.
A lot of rappers have to make a certain type of music that will sell to the mainstream. Most rap music BUYERS are white. The majority of positions of power in the rap business are held by white men. Distribution, label executives, marketing, CORPORATE SPONSORS, etc. Most of the artists have to get the YES from the people in power to release an album. The people in power make the decisions on what they think will sell the most records (for most artists). That is why most of the rap we hear is all the same. There is a lot of artists who actually make intelligent, socially and politically motivated music. You just won't ever hear them lol. If you're not already a TRUE hip-hop head, the only way you would find those artists is to "stumble upon" them. So artists are like the slave labor in a globalized economy!
Therefore, they are the white man's bitch because they rap about things that only harm the community and make us look bad like how they sold a million drugs, fuck 100 bitches a week, bust guns, etc. This stuff sells. And if it makes people dance, you've got a hit record!
And if a rapper wants any million dollar endorsements from Coca-cola (50 Cent), budweiser (Jay-z), Pontiac (50 Cent), that's another voice that can say NO, this isn't the type of music/image we would like to endorse. Well they're endorsing it aren't they?
That's just the music business. Who flooded the hoods with crack/heroin?? Kelso can tell you all about that lol
Who is moving all the guns through the hoods?? I know alot of black people DON'T have gun licenses and possess guns.
The whole prison system is modern day for profit slavery. Most offenses being petty drug possessions/intent to sell.
Why, if a school does poorly on standardized testing, does the government take funding AWAY from that school and give it to the schools that already have ALL their needs met?!? They got plasma flat screens in the classrooms but in the cities they don't even have up to date books and computers! Fucked up ain't it.
All these things contribute to the topic of the video.
More of a "The" Man, instead of a general every white guy sorta thing.
I can see it and agree.
Is it true that white people buy more rap?
I am not a fan, much because most of what I have heard is exactly as you say (rude, harsh and deadly... not my style). As a caveat, I do respect and appreciate the ability of these people who can do this. It is amazing to me (not only the performance, but the memory needed).
Anyway, there is no doubt that our country is still driven by an elitist oligarchy of white folk. But believe you me, they don't care any more for me than they do any person of color.
Each and every point you make is valid and I agree.
bRAVO IT IS VERY TRUE

When you have time that DVD will show the movement in general to become independent of the "system" in hip-hop.
Awesome message, and Jay, I liked your comment about the music business to one of your readers.
Thanks KIT
