Now, I know alot of you love the foolishness you see on BET, and I can't say I don't get wrapped up in some BET garbage from time to time. But BET lately... it's just... it's not workin for me right now. You probably will agree with atleast some of the things I HATE about BET. You might get offended. Shout out to Aaron McGruder.
This is what BET is telling them...
- I HATE how BET rips off all of MTV's reality shows and throws some black, never-gon'-be-nothin-actors in them and calls it an original series.
- Shouldn't Hell Date have been cancelled months ago? Have YOU ever watched a full episode of that "Ni**erdom?" (Clayton Bigsby lol)
- Tell me why BET swears American Gangster does NOT glorify criminals and their deeds. I know damn well if I want to be a certified D-Boy, all I gotta do is watch some re-runs of American Gangster, and do everything I see, and convince myself I won't wind up in jail.
- I HATE how they call it Black Entertainment like all we want to watch is the same videos over and over, and two grieving hours of Hell Date in the afternoon!
- How white people watch BET just to laugh at all the coonery they think black people is all about.
- The BET awards for begging and pleading during the ceremony, for the attendees and the artists to behave like "them." *You know the folks was tuning in talking bout, "Look at those negroids, you have to beg them to act like decent human beings.* (Chappelle voice)
- I HATE how they had Hip-Hop vs. America, but they chose not to invite any non-mainstream artists... for example, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli... I mean they had Mike Jones on the show to "defend" Hip-Hop! C'mon now.
- How BET commercials always are about graduating high school, or getting a GED, but right after that they run consecutive 1-900 model chatlines!!! Okaaaayyy..?
*Sigh* Finally got that off my chest... I know I forgot some.

Okay 1st and for most to the Poster...I couldn't agree with you more. Thats why I commend Aaron McGruder for makes those two specials about B.E.T/ Black Evil Television...lol not only was it so rumorous but it was sooo true!!!! I rarely even turn on my t.v. but when I do Its not to B.E.T I got tried of all of the non-sense that was going on...I don't want to hear about Sex, Guns, Drugs, and how to become a better D-Boy all of the dang time...and plus the music now a days is Straight CRAP! come on now guys we have accomplished so much as a people. If doesn't shame you at all either to present yourselves like whores or to see others presenting you as such? Same as for the gentlemen...aren't you tried of being presented like drugs dealer and gangbangers? I thought that we all grew pass this so call IMAGE that others have placed us in...Most of us are Intelligent interlectuals that have way more to offer then just another seat in the jail house, im just saying....but for others like the one that made this blog post before me...you have just proved our point LOUD and CLEAR!!! you sound ignorant and dumb like after high school your goal was to become a video hoe...but if thats the life you want to lead then more power to you...but as for me I have a future to look forward too!!!
